Laptop Windows 7 Octubre (2009) by erKURITA

There comes a time when that computer of yours just does not seem to be as fast as it used to be. Strange things start to happen like you seem to get more crashes than you used to and the crashes become too frequent to be considered a glitch in the Microsoft Operating System. Inevitably, we all start to look for a promising piece of software that will be the computer savior of our dreams. However, this is not always the case because as we will see through this tutorial, the biggest troubles can come from the smallest of things. What most people do not realize is that dust is one of the biggest causes of computer failures that we face.

Dust is minute particles that get into everything and cause our PC components to overheat. It is important to clean out our PCs every once in a while. Unfortunately, some people have never cleaned out their computers. These individuals may get lucky and never experience any adverse affects, but then there are those that seem to always have trouble and they are soon driven to the point of forking out a lot of money for a new computer, or shady PC repair companies (No names mentioned here).

The problem that dust presents is that it insulates electronic components from the ambient air and they are not able to dissipate the heat they create. Also, dust and lint will often collect in the air flow vents and stop air from circulating over the components to keep them cool. The most susceptible components to heat is the CPU, memory, and the video processor, which on newer cards have their own processor cooling fan. As a side note people that smoke near their machines are going to have to perform a special cleaning in order to get their components sparkling. This is due in large part to the tar that is in the smoke which coats the components creating an especially tough layer of insulation. However, we will go into this later on in the tutorial.

Now then, in this tutorial I will completely disassemble an old junker PC that I use as a file server. It is a Gateway case that I refitted with a newer motherboard and installed a momentary switch into when the old switch died. It is an ugly computer, but it works great and I have never had any trouble with it at all, other than that lousy switch. There is no one way to open a PC case. The cases are made differently according to the manufacturer. In my Gateway case you loosen the two thumbscrews in the rear and then slide the side cover off.

I do know that on Dell Optiplex and Precision desktops that there are two tabs that you must depress, one on top and one on the bottom. Depress both tabs at the same time and pry the computer open, it is on hinges so it should not be too difficult. There is one final tower that I have come across and it is the simplest to open. You merely pry off the face plate and then the side panel can be pulled right off. This is my favorite case to use when I build my own computers just for its simplicity.

As you can see from the first picture this computer is quite dirty and is in need of a serious cleaning. Now some people might just do a little dusting and call it a day. However, I am serious about doing this right so I am going to pull out all of the boards including memory, video, CPU, USB card, sound card, and Ethernet. I will also be removing all drives and the power supply; hey I got to make sure this thing is clean right?

The next picture shows that everything has been removed and they are laid out according to their location in the case. I find it easy to do it this way. However, you might choose to mark the locations of your cards with a permanent marker, just so that you will remember where they go. Many service people like to use compressed air to clean out a PC, but I just do not like to do that. There are a couple of reasons, one is that using highly compressed air can blow some of the jumpers off of the motherboard or even out of the drives and it is very difficult to figure out where those little squares go.

Another issue is that compressed air causes the fans to spin and if you do not hold them they will generate a voltage that could damage your components, not to mention all of the dust that gets into the air that you inevitably breathe in. I prefer a soft bristle paintbrush and a vacuum cleaner. The paintbrush can get into difficult places to reach and the vacuum ensures that most of the dust is disposed of in an enclosed system and not my lungs. Back to the cleaning project, it may seem to be a little intimidating looking at all of those wires running from this and that and the other thing. Do not worry too much about it, if you are worried about whether or not you will remember where they go, you can also mark the end of the connector with the connection on the component. Some sort of numbering system works great.

Always remember, as far the ribbon cables are concerned that there is a red stripe or a red dotted stripe which is a reference point to pin number one. Just make sure that the red stripe lines up with pin number on the motherboard and the component that it connects to. The pins are numbered on the printed circuit boards although; in some cases you may need a magnifying glass to see them. In this picture you can see that the power supply has been opened and “Oh my God,” I did not realize just how dirty that thing would be, we certainly have to do something about that.

Wow, in the next picture you can see the difference. This power supply is now beautiful and I have just extended its life and this saves me a few bucks that I can use for something a little more important. As you can see, the CPU is really dirty and honestly I do not know how this thing still works. Talk about dirty; these cooling fans have the fuzzies growing under them.

That is okay, a few quick brushes with my trusty paintbrush and these suckers will look good as new. Probably the most tedious task s to brush and vacuum out the case, but we have to do what we have to do right? Now it is time to put all of these things back together again and get this file server back up. I personally have my own order as to how I put it all back and it is really up to your own personal preferences.

First I install all of the drives because in some cases the video and sound cards can get in the way and cause you to have a real difficult time getting the drives in. Next I install all of the various computer cards following the markings I had made earlier. Finally, I install the memory cards, the CPU, and last but not least, the power supply. Finally, it is time to run the test and make sure this thing is working. If you find that a drive is not detected by the computer bios you can almost be certain that a ribbon cable is on backwards. That is the only error that I have ever had after doing a complete cleaning and it is as simple as switching the ribbon cable to the correct position. In the last picture you can see that this computer is clean as a whistle and ready to give its all to fulfill my need for more power and faster computing.

As a side note to those of you that smoke around your computers. The cleaning procedures are the same however, it might be necessary to purchase some non-conductive electronic contact cleaner to spray your pc boards with. If you use the non-conductive spray you do not have to worry about something shorting out should you not dry them completely. You will be amazed at all of the brown gunk that pours off of these boards while you spray them. By the way, dust your components before you spray them, otherwise you will be working with mud instead of just tar, or dust.

That is all there is to cleaning the hardware in your PC. I personally clean my computers out about every six months because I live in the Southwest Desert and it is very dusty here. Determining how often you should clean out your computer may take a little guessing on your part. I hope this is helpful and that in the long run you save yourself some money in unneeded repairs while at the same time increasing efficiency.

Your current Personal computer is definitely probably 1 of your almost all important properties. In order that it makes good sense to take how to fix bad pool caller attention of computer the very best you are able to. When Personal computer mistakes existing ourselves now there might be any variety of different brings about that will put in danger the actual overall performance along with speed of this pc.

Pc Running Seriously Slow – Revive Your computer windows registry Issue

Filed under computer, registry errors | No Comments

Lomo Mac by Muoo Muoo

I know that feeling you get when you just get home with that new game or program, you just can't wait to load it up and get it running. But before you do there are a few things you should do both before and after your installation to make sure everything goes by the numbers.

Getting new software, games or anything else, can be a great time for doing a little routine maintenance on your computer as well as loading that program. For any program that is more than just a couple of megabytes it should be a time to update drivers and check for malware and virus'. There are somethings you should actually do before you even purchase that game or software as a matter of fact.

First you should check the Internet and make sure your system meets the minimum system requirements for the program. If your system is lower than what that program or game calls for you may need to do some upgrading or even not purchase that program. The box of the software will have the system requirements or you can look on the web site for the company to check and make sure. If you don't know your systems requirements on a Windows XP system check on your help and support page and click on Hardware on the list there. Then go to Tools, then My Computer Information and check under both the General System Information and Find Information About The Hardware Installed On This Computer. If your on an older system you can use your Programs under the Start on your Task bar, then to Accessories and then System Information. You will find a list of the components and some things like memory, disk drive space and what hardware your computer has. Make sure you have the minimum for the program your thinking of purchasing.

Another thing you may want to do before purchasing is check any forums for that software to see if there's any problems with it. I have gotten video games and other programs that did not work very well, okay some I have gotten from my job of video game reviewing so I haven't paid for them. But you may want to check and see if there is a lot of people complaining about the software, whether it's a game or some program for your computer. Just go to a search engine like Google and type in the title of the software and the word forum, a list of active forums should come up and you can browse to see if anybody is having any technical issues with the game or program. Forums for software will usually have a technical or problem section for people to look and discuss the problems they may be having with a program.

If the software is having a lot of problems with errors and there is no solutions to these problems you may want to steer clear of it. You can also check out sites like Epinions.com and CNET.com to see what others think of the software or game.

When you get that new program you should make sure you have a good clean system before installing it. Run your anti virus software and check your full system for any viruses, you should also check for spyware and malware. Whatever program your using for your Internet safety should have both anti virus and anti spyware. Many programs will have a hard time installing with some spyware or viruses on your system. This is also a good time to do some general cleaning to make sure you are using your computer to it's fullest potential. If you have a cleaning program clean out your temporary files and any unnecessary programs from your computer. After we install your new computer we will be performing what is called a disk defragment. This is a good time to get rid of stuff we don't need and when we run the defrag it will run quicker without extra stuff in your temp files, recycle bin and those unused programs.

Before we install our new program or game, you should create a restore point on your help and support page in case something goes wrong so you can restore your system to the time before you added the program. This way you have a known good point, all that cleaning for viruses and spyware, and you can go back to that point if something happens during or after the installation. Once you have created a restore point in your help and support section your ready to install.

Read the stuff that comes with the program and visit the website for the software. Do not just stick it in and hope it will tell you what to do. Some programs require you to turn off virus scanners or other programs before installing their software. Others warn you about important updates or like the case of my new mouse that I reviewed for a gaming web site, I didn't even need the software. I used the new and updated drivers from their web site. So read the information or instructions that come with the software and check their website for important information like patches or updates or things to do before installing their software.

You should always shut down any programs and stop anything from running or playing like screen savers or music you might have running while your installing a program. These extra things may mess up the install and this is one of those times when you only want to be doing one job at a time.

If you do need to install something with your anti virus disabled most often what you need to do is go into the program from your programs menu or click on the icon for the program and actually tell the program to turn off. In the case of Trend Micro's 2006 Internet Security Suite you right click the Icon in your system tray and exit the program. It will ask to make sure you want to do this and then tell you that it is disabled and to turn it back on you just click on the programs main console run icon for it or simply restart your computer. If you do need to turn off your anti virus I recommend you physically disconnect your Internet connection from your computer. Even if you do not turn on your Internet connection you may get something if your using a DSL line. On a DSL line your Internet is always hooked up and ready to use so things can get onto your computer even if the Internet Explorer or other browser is not open. I have seen viruses and other malware come onto the computer even when not using the browser. So just unhook the cable going to the computer so the Internet is actually unhooked while you install the software.

Follow the directions for installing the software and check the site for any updates or patches for the software. Many times things that go wrong in a program are very easy to fix and the company knows about them, they often update programs so check and see if there are any patches or updates to fix any issues that new software might have.

Once you have installed the software and ensure it works it is a good idea to perform what is known as a disk defragment. Over time the programs and files that are stored on a disk drives disk will become fragmented. This happens because when you first install the main operating system to a disk in occupies one section of the drive. Then when programs and other files are loaded onto the drive the disk manager does not put them all in a nice neat and orderly fashion. Deleted things creates holes and the manager fills these holes with parts of programs or files. Over time the more things you add and delete the more your drive will become fragmented. Programs that need to move from one section of the drive to another to load an entire program will slow down due to the increase in size when programs are located on different parts of the disk. The disk manager program does not load all programs orderly so some programs will be in sections when it is first loaded. After you load something as a matter of routine you should defragment the drive to make the programs reload into their own section in a nice neat and orderly fashion. The defragment program will load all the programs and different things on the drive and make them very neat and orderly. Each program will be loaded into one section and the main operating system will be loaded into it's own section.

Run the defragment program, it is located on the properties page of the drive C or main drives page. Double click on My Computer and then right click on the C drive or your main drive. On the Tools page is the Defragment as well as some other tools for your computer. If the defragment does not run some things you may have to do is turn off any running programs or run the error check on the disk. Some times errors will prevent the defrag from running and need to be fixed. If you have any problems with any of these the help section will have links to Microsoft's help section for any errors or problems along with help on how to run them.

Once the drive is defragmented your programs will run better and with less errors. Sometimes errors occur in programs due to fragmentation. You can buy programs that will automatically defrag your drive on a schedule or while the computer is not busy doing anything else. These programs will cost you but can be worth the cost for the value of keeping your drive and computer in top working condition. See CNET.com for reviews on these programs, look under the System Utilities section or search using the word defragmenter. These programs are handy to use but not necessary, justify the cost if you like to have a program easily do the work for you but I just use windows built in version for a handy a free defragmenter.

After you run defragmenter you will also want to create another restore point for you to be able to restore to the time after you loaded the program. This way you have the before and after points in time to restore your system to if you have problems. And speaking of problems, if your computer acts up after installing a program the first thing you should try is uninstalling the program and reinstalling it. Sometimes when you install something, even though you turned everything off not necessary during the install, it could have loaded badly and just needs to reinstalled. I have found sometimes programs and drivers have to be installed a second time due to some problem loading. Think of all that information that is getting loaded, games are about 1-3 Gigabytes, thats 1 to 3 thousand million bits of information loading onto your disk drive. One little bit out of place or missing and the program could crash or not work properly.

Before and after installing and loading new programs, software or games can be a great time to do some routine maintenance that will make loading that program work better and easier. It will also ensure a better system for using that program and create an opportunity to do maintenance that you may not ordinarily do. This is a good time to clean up and make your system run like new again.

The most effective way to resolve or perhaps resolve a person's difficulties while using the windows registry is always to obtain a new registry scanner. Immediately after saving the registry cleaner job application, operate a check out on your own Desktop regularly in order to check out along with repair computer registry to get clear in the event that almost any errors fix computer crash reducing your current Pc all of which will offer a person using a permanent solution towards the question of how to deal with this laptop or computer.

Computer system Running Very Slowly – Revive Your computer windows registry Problem

Windows Xp Dektop by LifesSweetDrug

Most of us are not geniuses when it comes to the workings of our computers. When we get a pop-up that tells us that our software needs updated, we obey. Unfortunately, the evil people who create computer viruses know this and are taking full advantage. I would like to share with you how my entire computer got wiped out and my credit card security was jeopardized all because of the Antivirus 360 virus.

I don't know a lot about computers, but I do know that I have antivirus software installed and know that it's important. One day, my computer screen started going completely blue with a message telling me that I had an out of date version of my antivirus software. Then, after a while, the computer would either start working again or restart. I tried to ignore it for a while, but the problem persisted. Since my computer had never lied to me before or played any ugly tricks, I decided to do what it told me. After all, I run updates on it all the time and everything always turns out fine.

The next time something popped up about an antivirus update, I clicked on the suggested link to get it done. It took me to a very legit looking website that said I could purchase the Antivirus 360 software for $59.95. While I wasn't thrilled about it, I figured that it would be better than having my computer freeze up every 10 minutes. I entered my credit card information and purchased the software. (Authors note: I do realize that entering my credit card info was especially stupid on my part.)

I next got another pleasant surprise when my computer quit working all together. It gave me a message that said I was using unregistered or unrecognized antivirus software and then shut down.

At my wit's end, I called a computer specialist. Before I could even get the whole story out, they said I had the Antivirus Virus (how confusing is that?). I took the computer in and after examination they informed me that too much damage had been done by Antivirus 360. I could either pay them big bucks to try and remove it with only a 60% success rate, or I could have the entire computer wiped out and start over for a lesser fee. I chose the latter and, in the end, I ended up paying them around $150 and lost everything (programs and all) that I had on the hard drive.

I also had to cancel my credit card and have new ones issued since the security of the original card had been breached. Sure enough, the next statement I received had a charge for $59.95 that read “Heliana Ltd. Software cs@wwscc.com cyp”. Heliana Ltd. Software doesn't exist and neither does wwssc.com. I'm currently in the process of disputing the charge on the grounds that it's a fraudulent internet scam.

Bottom line is, Antivirus 360 is nasty, tricky, and can do a lot of damage. If you're not sure, it's probably best to err on the side of caution and call someone who knows. If I had done that, I'd be $150 richer, wouldn't be disputing a charge with my credit card company for an additional $60, and I would still have my old computer and all of its programs intact.

For help and more info regarding Antivirus 360 try:

Consequently, whenever you've recently been close to throwing ones computer system the windows simply because it maintains operating sluggish than the usual turtle, We tremendously recommend you receive your computer registry flushed fix computer crash when soon while doable. You'll be impressed from exactly how quicker your current pc will now operate!

Windows 7 beta build 7048 by Taller Hikari

Has your computer been running slowly no matter what you do? Does it take forever to boot, with various errors scattered throughout your essential programs? It sounds like your PC performance might have a serious windows registry issue. The best way to address this problem is with a windows registry repair.

Your PC performs searches through the registry for settings and preferences every time you boot your computer up. The windows registry accumulates errors as time goes by and as new software is added. This causes it to slow down over time as it performs searches through the registry when retrieving information. Without a registry fix, your computer would not be able to run properly after awhile. A pc registry repair keeps it down to a manageable size, as well.

As you can see, problems without the cleanup registry become very noticeable since they tend to wreak havoc upon your computer experience. The problems don't end there either. Eventually, without a windows registry repair, it will begin to freeze; you'll start getting the “blue screen” which is never a good sign. A lack of a registry fix can quickly render your computer completely useless. Say goodbye to your pc performance.

The benefit of a cleanup registry periodically is that your computer will run faster. You will also have less crashing and stopping. Windows registry repair recognizes the inner workings of the registry and can easily sort it out.
A pc registry repair is something you should never perform on your own. Some of the more experienced computer owners I know even use a windows registry repair to clean theirs. It can be quite risky to start deleting registry records on your own, which potentially can cause permanent damage to your computer. Try to read a registry fix review before purchasing one. If you start fiddling with it on your own, serious damage beyond repair can occur to the registry. Say goodbye to ever fixing it or using it again.
Fixing a registry problem once it's already occurred is rather difficult and why you are much better off trying to prevent them in the first place. Every registry fix review I've read recommends running one on a regular and fixed schedule to prevent registry errors and their side-effects. Never wait until your computer starts acting up to run a pc registry repair.

So, if your computer just isn't running as it used to, it may be time to scan your computer with a cleanup registry program and get it back to normal. This preventative measure is worth the small amount of time it takes before something really bad occurs. You are always better to play it safe than sorry. Run a windows registry repair before the complications begin.

Fine, thus you need to realize tips on how to fix mistakes on your personal computer. In this short article I am proceeding to offer you a few simple ideas which will assist fix rundll32 error widespread computer difficulties. in what way to Remove Windows Error Messages as well as Improve Windows opening

Filed under computers, pc | No Comments

Mac by marikp1018

Windows Based – PC are prone to errors because it has to “be” compatible with virtually everything. And sometimes thing do go wrong after a new hardware installation, driver installation or program installation While most bluescreens (of death) are caused by out-of-system-memory, some are unique and can take a lot of time to fix. Below are the steps you should follow of first “Knowing the Enemy”

One of the misconceptions about the bluescreen of death in Windows operating system is1: Bluescreen of death happens when the operating system malfunctions.

False, Bluescreen of death means the operating system is actually performing proper functions when part of its programs encounter serious problems. Bluescreen of death indicates the operating system had shut down all internal read/write processes in order to prevent further damages to your data and computer (Memory modules, CPU, Hard drive etc.). Unless user tempered with advanced system setting, the system will also cache (dump) all error logs in C: (Location varies from system to system. For specific location of the error logs, read the error messages carefully). Most people don't even make use of those logs for troubleshooting their computers (Which they should).
Well first do your computer restart immediately after the bluescreen? if so, When it restarts you should press F4 and chose “disable automatic restart upon system failure” or something of that sort, so you will have time to read the messages…

When the bluescreen of death shows up again, copy down the error code (number/letters following the “STOP” row, it should be 0×000000….). There should also be a brief summary of the cause of the bluescreen.

So as I stated chances are the bluescreen of death is caused by memory such as out of memory or error in reading/writing in memory blocks. But if that's not the case you should post your error codeup here and I'll see if I can help you. Or visit http://support.microsoft.com/ and type in your error code on the search bar to see if there are any specific solution to your problem.

*Common Solution to Out-of-Memory.

This can happen when the program is using too much memory at one time and exceeds the system's memory & page files size (Or Page Files could not be accessed fast enough). Let say a program's minimal requirement is 1024MB of memory but you only have 512MB, chances are you will get a bluescreen in the middle of using the program of it fails to start in the first place. To address this problem is either you should look for other similar program that ultilizes less system resources or it is time to upgrade your systemmemory

Another reason of Out-of-Memory might be the program is actually malfunctioning or a virus/trojan is buffer-overflowing your system. Although most Anti-Virus Programs offer Buffer-Overflowing protection against such viruses, an nasty viral infection on your PC can write numerous unidentified scripts to actually overflow and crash your Anti-Virus Programs along with your PC, if that ever happens and you have followed all the diagnostic steps above, consult a GeekSquad in your local BestBuy store…(lol…though sale, but really you should see a professional in fixing your PC)*Common Causes of Bluescreen of Death.

- Installation of a device with a driver not signed by Microsoft.

- Installation of a Third Party Program's updates that include a driver that's not signed by Microsoft.

- Execution of programs that are not verified by Microsoft and/or they pose inherit incompatibility with your current Microsoft's operating system. (Try running those programs under Compatibility Mode, most of the time under Windows Vista and Windows 7 the system will shut down incompatible software programswith Data Execution Prevention or other means, “Not Responding” etc)

- Hacker executing malicious codes in an attempt to overtake the control of your computer.

- Malicious malware executing codes in an attempt to drain your system resources.

- Playing games that are video/system memory intensive such as MMORPGs, almost 99.999% of the time the bluescreen of death is the game codes at fault , not your operating system. Contact the game company for info about a patch or fix if you suffer from bluescreen of death constantly while running your game.

How to prevent future Bluescreen of Death- Make sure your PC Hardware is up to date with the software technologies (games, Photoshop etc)
- Run disk-check and disk defragementation to maintain hard drive's optimum performance

- Clean the internal case of your PC to maintan CPU's optimum performace, I have a guide posted on AC just for that

- Have the latest Anti-virus or Internet Security Suite installed and run Quick Scan at least once a week, Full Scan every month is also recommended

Windows Vista Desktop by LifesSweetDrug

If you are a computer buff, you might have noticed the staggering number of data recovery software now available in most computer stores. You may even have purchased one of the software to help retrieve your files in case your computer’s hard disk crashes. You will obviously be pleased to own software that will help you recover all your files without having to call in a computer professional. But do you know that using your new software may not actually be your best option? Let us see why.

Firstly, data recover software is usually designed to tackle only a limited set of problems. To put it simply, it will be impossible to determine if the data recovery software is capable of resolving your particular problem. In certain cases, using inappropriate software can permanently delete your precious files from the hard disk and make it impossible to retrieve those files. This is exactly why it would be a good idea to refrain from using the software and take your hard disk to a data recovery service technician instead.

Trust The Experts

Hard drive recovery services are now offered by many companies worldwide. Their job involves recovering files from a computer that has crashed due to virus attack or hard disk error. No matter what operating system you use, companies specializing in such data recovery operations can successfully retrieve files from Macintosh OS, Linux OS, and all versions of Windows. They can also perform file retrieval operations on desktop computers, laptops, external hard disks, Raid servers, notebook computers, flash disks, CDs, and DVDs.

Even if you have been tinkering with computers for quite some time, you must absolutely resist the urge to fix a crashed hard disk on your own. Hard disks are complex and very delicate components that must only be handled by professionals who know what they are doing. These experts will be well-equipped to handle extremely complicated Raid data recovery operations or simple data recovery issues regardless of how damaged your hard disk is. Additionally, these professionals will install the necessary updates after a Mac data recovery.

A Raid repair professional will also be skilled in performing an emergency reboot in addition to retrieving files and rebuilding the hard disk. What makes the emergency reboot process so important is that it will allow the professionals to reboot a computer and fix the problems that may prevent booting the computer from Windows. Very often, an emergency reboot is all that it takes to repair a hard disk and successfully retrieve all your files. With such value-added data recovery operations, your chances of retrieving the entire data will be extremely good.

When you approach a computer technician with your damaged hard disk, make sure you clearly list the files that need to be retrieved. It would also be a good idea to get an estimate of the cost of repairs. Most companies now offer a free initial consultation. With today’s unbelievable technological advancements, a crashed hard disk is not something you need to worry about. Simply take it to a computer professional and retrieve your important files.

Netbook-Friendly Windows XP by mattjb

The UAC is a great piece of technology and a very useful safety feature. UAC is designed to stop viruses or Trojans from running automatically on your computer. It does this by requesting you to allow or deny the activity of a program as it tries to launch. This is a new feature introduced with Windows Vista. Windows XP and earlier versions do not contain UAC and are therefore considered to be less secure.

If, however you are very familiar with the system, or you complete a reinstallation, then the constant demands will be incredibly annoying.

To turn UAC off, there are two possibilities:

1) Disable UAC globally:

“msconfig” call (Start -> Run or directly into the search box type)

In the category “tools” find the entry “disable user account protection” Uncheck this box and click OK. Once you make any changes here the system has to be restarted in order for it to come into effect.

2) Disable UAC Pop-ups:

In the Start menu search box “secpol.msc” and press Enter

Now in the left window in “Local Policies”, click “Security Options”

Then in the right pane “User Account Control:…” Double-click and select the option on “Increased rights without prompt” and select OK.

Alternatively, you can change it directly in the registry.

Windows Vista Home edition users can only do this way because there is no

Group Policies in that version.

Enter this key into the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ System

ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin

And assign a value of “0″.

You will now have to restart for the changes to take effect.

Result

The security warning when you start programs will not pop-up. Nevertheless, there is a subtle difference between the two methods listed above:

For Variant 1, Internet Explorer no longer runs in protected mode.

For Variant 2, on the other hand, all the programs continue with normal user rights and also running Internet Explorer remains in protected mode.

Once a program requests administrator rights, they are automatically assigned.

I do not recommend permanently disabling UAC. It is only a few extra clicks, and the gain in security is big. If you MUST turn it off, then I certainly recommend going with option 2 above.
